About Saraswati Puja
Saraswati Puja falls on Basant Panchami, the fifth day of the bright fortnight of Magh, when we worship Maa Saraswati, the goddess of knowledge, music and the arts.
Children place their books, pens and instruments before Maa to receive her blessings, and the youngest write their first letters at hate khori. Everyone offers pushpanjali dressed in basanti yellow, and the morning ends with khichuri bhog shared by all.
